Max Charles

So! This morning i was browsing for some images of Wreck-It-Ralph, 'coz  i'm planning to do a sort of fan-art for my brother and his daughter, when i came across this photo -

and i was like 'wow! this kid looks, i dunno, dapper!" I don't know who this kid is, but i'm impressed with how he dress and carry himself. i have a strong feeling this young man would be a very big star in the very near future. And i'm very curious of what/who is he wearing - that is the very main reason why i'm writing this up. If someone could tell me, i would be very grateful.

CENTIPEDE

Bracelet I made which was inspired from famous jewelry brand. There are people asking if they can buy one from me, but i choose not to sell it because I fear it might get me into trouble. Maybe i'll develop something a bit different  which I can say that is my own.

A took a photo which tries to emulate the photos of The Sartorialist and Tommy Ton.

Espadrille

photo: the sartorialist

Ever since i saw this photo taken by The Sartorialist, i wanted to have my own pair of espadrilles. I think this photo is just so cool, and i wanna be just like him. Then comes TOMS (which is a more practical version because you don't have to worry about the sole during wet days), and i also want to have one. But i don't have enough money to buy a pair of toms, so just took my time. but as days goes by, a lot, really a lot of people are learning about the footwear brand, and i never fail to see them on peoples feet everyday (also espadrille which i think comes into 2nd place). That is why I'm starting to lose my interest on the famous footwears. But no! i need to have those shoes because its the trend. So I think of a way to be in fashion like the rest, but still looking unique.

That is why I've decide to create my own shoe. I've bought a plain espadrille flats that was on sale on TOPMAN, took the canvas upper off, and crocheted a new one. Voila! My first ever shoes made by my own hands!

Still needs to have a decent photo of me, wearing my creation :p

Fancy (Couture?!...) Necklaces

Several weeks ago, my sister asked me for help - she needs an orange-colored necklace for her profile shot for their yearbook. Since i have no idea where to look for one, i've suggested her that i'll just make one for her. With small amount of creativity and knowledge about jewelry making, and after some trend research through the web for inspiration, i went to quiapo and bought my materials. This is what i came up with:

One of her classmate saw this when she brought it to their school for approval, and asked my sister  if i could make one for her too. Although i have no confidence with my works, i said "yes", and these are what i came up with:

Her classmate chose the second one. Me and my sister was kinda surprised. She thought her classmate would choose the first one because it looks more decent. The second necklace was actually just an afterthought - i just had fun making necklaces and got carried away and put every materials that i have onto that piece. I hope it would look good on her on her photo...

BALENCIAGA fall 2010 ad campaign

Last night, I've decided to check out BALENCIAGA's website aimlessly - this has become some sort of habit. While waiting for the website to load up, I checked the other brands collection, and when i finally got back to BALENCIAGA's website, my jaw dropped - the fall 2010 ad campaign was already uploaded!

I was so thrilled when i saw that i momentarily hold my breath. This season's ad campaign is so beautiful, probably the best that I've seen... For me, everything about it is perfect.
I like the overall color tone of the ad - appropriate for the season, and somehow, kinda reminds me of the spring 2009 menswear ad campaign.
Aside from the beautifully photographed clothes (and those shoes!!!), the profile shots of the models gave this ad that extra personality. I particularly like this model above. If I'm not mistaken, she's Eliza Cummings - she has this spunk that reminds me of Agyness Deyn (which is my favorite model).
I also like Freja Beha Erichsen in this photo (above)

Good job Mr. Ghesquiere and team! I cant wait for the next collection :D
